Word from the U.S.
A year went by; with mother's help and following her instructions, I wrote frequent letters to father. Mother read us the letters from our father. The second year he wrote that he was saving money to pay for his return. Father's letters always made us very happy.

One day a person came from the U.S. I remember that he was not Jewish. He brought beautiful red coats for the three of us.
