With the Soviet regime prohibiting activity of the yeshiva, R’ Kotler moved with students to Kletsk. Meltzer stayed some additional years to guard the religious institutions in Slutz, was imprisoned because of heibsectzia informers. He managed to get to Kletzk, made Aliya and became head of the Etz Khayim yeshiva in Jerusalem.

The author describes what he say as a young boy – the soldiers inspecting on Shavuot Holiday the students and 60 of them who did not have a passport to stay legally in Kletzk were taken to the hors-sheds and beaten there, the children hearing their groaning. He says that some needed medical attention as they fainted. Interceders acted quickly before the district ruler and the students were release that same day. The author tells further that on another date, that head of the police force was thrown down from a horse he was riding and the running- wild horse trampled his rider to death…

Dov Kreizer and Yitzkhak Cohen headed the yeshiva for the young.

Growth of yeshiva needed a new building. Till then it was located in the Synagogue. 1930 the building was completed.

Aharon Kotler founded the yeshiva called Kletsk in Lakewood NJ.

Son of Meltzer founded Yeshivat Hadarom – Kletsk in Rekhovot.

Head of the Yeshiva: The author stresses that Meltzer was the head of the yeshivot in general.

The author mentions that at the age of 13 he entered the yeshiva of Voloz’in and the heads of the yeshiva and R’ Khayim Soloveitichik of Brisk liked him a lot and soon saw his potential. He monitored his studies and said “he has a head of gold” When he opens his mouth with Torah interpretation, I feel that my own channels of wisdom in my brain open up.” In Jerusalem he strengthened the yeshiva “Etz Khayim”
