This page contains photos of Kletskers gathered together in public for one reason or another.
Webmaster's Notes: See the same photo with a more extensive caption in the Kletsk Yizkor Book. Note that the entire banner at center is intact here; in the Yizkor Book, the lower text has been obliterated. This photo probably depicts a local demonstration related to the 1917 Russian Revolution. |
Webmaster's Notes: See the same photo with a more extensive caption in the Kletsk Yizkor Book. |
Webmaster's Notes: See the same photo in the Kletsk Yizkor Book. Note the Catholic Church in the background. This view appears to be looking west, on the road leading to the Jewish cemetery and ultimately to Lyakovichi and Baranovichi. |
Webmaster's Notes: See the same photo with a more extensive caption in the Kletsk Yizkor Book. This photo was clearly taken from the north side of the Kletsk main square, looking approximately south-west. |
Webmaster's Notes: See the same photo with a different caption in the Kletsk Yizkor Book. This photo was taken from a similar vantage point, looking more toward the south, sufficient to include the large roof of the Kalte Shul at background left. The street exiting the square at background center was known as Jew Street. (Apparently the label was intended and taken as a neutral, descriptive label.) With Kletsk's largest synagogue alongside and the Kletsk Yeshiva at the far end, this street could be considered the epicenter of Jewish life in the town. |
